“By 1929, BC Electric was firmly established in the economy of BC and — for better or for worse — in the consciousness of its citizens. Photography was becoming commonplace and employees were asked to contribute their images. Each monthly edition of the magazine would feature a photo framed by a border of utopian electrical images. Among the images and stories in the publication were black and white vignettes illustrating such topics as bowling, golf, fishing, tennis, basketball, ballroom dancing, and other items to engage readers, educate, inform, and promote ‘team spirit.’"
